NFL Betting Odds: Miami Dolphins (+6) at Cleveland Browns (-6)

The Miami Dolphins, (0-5 SU, 1-2-2 ATS, 3-2 O/U) are the absolute train wreck I predicted they’d be before the regular season ever started. Miami’s latest loss was a 22-19 defeat at the hands of the Houston Texans in which decrepit quarterback Trent Green may have suffered a career-ending concussion that comes on the heels of last season’s equally horrific concussion. Miami is ranked 19th in overall offense and 24th in overall defense.

The Cleveland Browns, (2-3 SU, 3-2 ATS, 4-0-1 O/U) may have lost to the New England Patriots 34-17 last week, but the team has been transformed due to the competent play of strong-armed quarterback Derek Anderson. The Browns are ranked 8th in the league in overall offense, but have big problems with the league’s worst defense.

Here is a look at tonight’s key trends followed by my Free Football Gambling Picks:

Key Dolphins Trends

The Dolphins are 4-1-2 ATS in their last seven road games.

The Dolphins are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as a road underdog of 3.5-10.0.

The Dolphins are 41-12-2 ATS in their last 55 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

Key Browns Trends

The Browns are 6-0 ATS in their last six games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game.

The Browns are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

The Browns are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss.

Key Totals Trends

The Over is 7-1 in Dolphins last eight games in Week Six.

The Under is 5-1 in Dolphins last six games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.

The Under is 7-0 in Browns last seven games as a home favorite.

The Over is 4-0-1 in Browns last five games overall.

Analysis: The 1972 Miami Dolphins hold the NFL record for going through the season without a loss in 17 consecutive games. Unfortunately, the 2007 Dolphins could set a new record for futility this season with their inept play and coaching. Take the Browns to win this game by a touchdown and get back to .500 on the season.
