Bet On NFL - San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks

The San Francisco 49ers (+10) have lost seven of the last nine meetings SU (straight up) versus the Seattle Seahawks (-10), as the NFC West foes clash on Monday Night Football at Qwest Field with the NFL betting family in attendance.

In what's arguably the weakest division in the league, Seattle sits atop at 4-4 and 3-5 ATS (against the spread) following a money-dropping 33-30 overtime loss at Cleveland last week as the slight underdogs for their third SU defeat in four games.

Seattle returns to division play against a 2-6 SU and ATS San Francisco team, which despite losing for the sixth straight time last week 20-16 at Atlanta as the 3-point underdogs, is only two games back of the Seahawks.

- Seahawks are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. NFC West.

- 49ers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. NFC West.

The Seahawks and 49ers met in Week 4 at San Francisco on Sept. 30, when Seattle claimed a 23-3 victory while earning a payday as the 1-point favorites.

Shaun Alexander has rushed for 954 yards and ten touchdowns in eleven games versus the 49ers, but had just 78 yards on 25 carries in the win. Matt Hasselbeck threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns in the last meeting.

Offensively, the Seahawks are scoring 20.9 points per game and posting 337.1 yards this year, meanwhile, the defense is surrendering 17.6

sixth-best in the NFL) points and 333.6 yards.

- Seahawks are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in Week 10.

- Seahawks are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games in November.

- Seahawks are 2-5-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.

In this year's earlier meeting, 49ers' quarterback Alex Smith separated his shoulder on the third play of that contest and missed two games as a result.

Last year, Smith threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns against Seattle, as San Francisco won both games SU and ATS.

The 49ers own the NFL's worst offense, which is averaging 224.2 yards per game and 13 points and 11.2 during its six-game skid. Defensively, San Francisco is allowing 23.3 points per game and 336.5 yards.

The 49ers hope the return of running back Frank Gore will give the offense a boost following his absence last week. Gore has 435 yards on 110 carries, but has yet to rush for more than 100 yards this season, gaining 79 on 16 carries versus Seattle in Week 4.

He rushed for 356 yards against the Seahawks last season.

- 49ers are 14-4 ATS in their last 18 Monday games.

- 49ers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in Week 10.

- 49ers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in November.

- 49ers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a SU loss.

NFL odds list Seattle the 10-point favorites with a game total of 39½.

- Seahawks are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games as a favorite.

- Seahawks are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a home favorite.

- 49ers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog.

Analysis: San Francisco is stagnant offensively as they'll face a Seattle club who's ranked sixth defensively in the league. Just too much defense for the 49ers to handle in this one, and expect a hostile crowd at Seattle known as the ''12th Man'' to play a part in a Seahawks cover win.
