NFL Betting Odds – Minnesota Vikings (+6.5) at Chicago Bears (-6.5)

The Minnesota Vikings, (1-3 SU, 1-1-2 ATS, 1-3 O/U) had a bye week after losing to the Green Bay Packers 23-16 in Week 4 and have major issues at quarterback where starter Tavaris Jackson and backup Kelly Holcomb are both less than 100 percent. The Vikings are ranked 21st in overall offense and 18th in overall defense.

The Chicago Bears, (2-3 SU, 1-4 ATS, 3-2 O/U) picked up their second win of the regular season last week by beating the Green Bay Packers in a game that I correctly picked for BetUS.com NFL bettors. Chicago is ranked 30th in overall offense and 23rd in overall defense, a statistic that doesn’t relate to how good Chicago’s stellar defense is.

Here is a look at tonight’s key trends followed by my Free Football Betting Pick:

Key Vikings Trends

The Vikings are 4-1 ATS in their last five games in Week Six.

The Vikings are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0.

The Vikings are 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 vs. NFC North.

Key Bears Trends

The Bears are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games in October.

The Bears are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games as a home favorite of 3.5-10.0.

The Bears are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0.

Key Totals Trends

The Over is 5-1 in Vikings last six games in Week Six.

The Under is 4-1 in Vikings last five road games vs. a team with a losing home record.

The Over is 6-1 in Bears last seven games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.

The Over is 6-1-1 in Bears last eight games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

Key Head-to-Head Trends

The Home team is 5-0 ATS in their last five meetings.

The Under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings in Chicago.

The Vikings are 2-5 ATS in their last seven meetings.

Analysis: Okay NFL bettors, don’t even think twice about this wager. Take the Chicago Bears to win this game outright and cover the spread as quarterback Brian Griese gets even more accustomed to the starting role that the inconsistent quarterback Rex Grossman forced him into.
