NFL Betting Props – Kevin Boss Prop Bets

It is not just running backs and receivers who will be making catches in Super Bowl XLII. These days, tight ends are becoming an increasingly important part of many offenses, becoming a part of the passing game that cannot be ignored. Not just blockers anymore you can bet on tight end reception props in the BetUS sportsbook for Super Bowl XLII. In fact, if you like to bet on football, and hate to think about how there is only one game left to bet on, console yourself with the fact that this sportsbook has more football wagering options available on more players in more positions for Super Bowl XLII than you have had available for all the games of the regular NFL betting season, combined.

New York Giants +11.5 vs. New England Patriots –11.5

Just go to the BetUS sportsbook and scroll down past the Super Bowl lines and then past the alternative Super Bowl odds. Below, in the WR Props section, you’ll find these New York Giants tight end prop wagers to bet on. We’ll go by the numbers on the left of the bets, called Rotation Numbers, to make it easier to follow.

Super Bowl Betting: 6:20 p.m. EST in Glendale, Arizona

Number 412/413: When Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey went down in mid-December, rookie Kevin Boss had to step in and learn fast. According to the New York coaching staff, the fact that he had already taken it upon himself to stay late and watch film, even when everyone else was gone, did not hurt when he got his chance. He is, however, more of a blocking tight end and, although he can catch – and had four receptions in the Week 17 game against New England – it is highly likely that coach Coughlin and crew will not be using the Super Bowl to better evaluate his hands. The over/under on his total receptions is two. He has only had the one game with more than that. Take the under and you should walk with either a win, or your money back. Good odds for you.

Number 478/479: This props deals with the total yards the oddsmakers are setting as an over/under wager on Kevin Boss. They have chosen 22.5 yards as the benchmark for you to decide on. As we just discussed, the rookie is not very likely to fit into the passing game very much at all. He will be helping to block against the defense with the second-most sacks in the league after the Giants themselves, trying to keep Eli safe. Take the under here, too.

Number 524/525: This one is pretty easy to take the over on, for those of you who hate taking unders. The oddsmakers have set the over/under for Boss’ 1st reception of the game at 8.5 yards. Now, sometimes, books will add a note that says if the player has zero catches in the game, then this would be graded as an under. On these props, however, the books are giving you a freebie and have to give you your money back if the player makes no catch. So, take the over, as Boss, when he does catch a pass, almost always goes for nine or more yards.
