College Basketball Betting Lock Alert - Georgetown at Providence

The Georgetown Hoyas, (20-4 SU, 8-13 ATS, 6-15 O/U) have dropped their last two road contests coming into this affair with the Providence Friars, (13-12 SU, 10-13 ATS, 11-12 O/U) and have failed to cover the spread very often this season despite being one of the best defensive teams in the nation.
The eighth-ranked Hoyas were soundly beaten by the Syracuse Orange, 77-70 on Saturday at the Carrier Dome just one week after falling to the Louisville Cardinals 59-51 on Feb. 9.
"Road wins have been difficult," Georgetown coach John Thompson III said. "You can't be negligent in any area in our league this year."
The Hoyas will be looking to halt their two-game road losing streak against a Providence team that has dropped three straight games, including an 80-72 loss to Louisville on Saturday, coming in to this contest.
Despite the fact that the Friars have a balanced offense that features five players averaging at least 10 points per game, Providence is tied with the St. John's Red Storm for 13th place in the Big East, putting them in danger of missing the conference tournament altogether.
The young Friars, who have dropped a total of seven of its last ten games, have been victimized by their tortuous schedule, losing at St. John’s 64-62 before getting routed by No. 22 Pittsburgh 82-63 on Feb. 12.
While Georgetown has won seven of its last ten, the Hoyas are a dismal 3-7 against the spread over the same span and have failed to cover the spread in five straight games.
The Hoyas are limiting teams to just 57.5 points per game on 35.7 percent shooting, but the Friars have fielded a fine offense this season that averages 74.4 points per contest on 45.0 percent shooting.

Analysis: While the Hoyas have been absolutely dismal against the spread this season, I like their defense to stifle the Friars who do not have a legitimate star this season. Take the Hoyas to cover the spread tonight while winning going away.
