Bet On NCAA Football - Michigan State vs. Ohio State

NCAA football betting action will be at its finest on Saturday when the No.1 Ohio State Buckeyes welcome in the Michigan State Spartans at 3:30pm EST.

This will be the Buckeyes first game this season as the nation's top-ranked team. Ohio State is 7-0 SU (Straight Up) and 4-2 ATS (Against the Spread) on the year, as they claimed ranking supremacy with a 48-3 cover win over Kent State last week as the 30-point favorites and a loss by the previous top two teams - LSU and California.

Saturday, the Buckeyes will be going for their 26th consecutive regular season victory and 17th in a row at home while trying for their sixth consecutive win SU over Michigan State.

Offensively, Ohio State is putting up 35.7 points per game and 414 yards of total offense. The defense ranks No. 1 nationally in points (6.6) and yards (211.7) allowed per game.

The Buckeyes have covered the spread in 20 of their last 26 games and 12 of their last 16 at home.

The Spartans haven't beaten the Buckeyes since 1999. Michigan State's last victory at Columbus also marks their last win against a top-ranked team - 28-24 over Ohio State on Nov. 7, 1998.

Michigan State is 3-13-1 SU versus teams ranked No. 1, and has lost six straight against Top-25 opponents.

Offensively, the Spartans are posting 36.9 points per game and 467 yards of total offense. The defense is allowing 24.9 points per game 332.6 and yards.

The Spartans are 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS on the season. They have beaten the number in just eight of their last 26 games and they are a money-dropping 3-11 ATS in their last 14 conference games.

Last year, these two met at Michigan State, where Ohio State claimed a 38-7 money-making victory as the 14-point favorites. The Buckeyes held the Spartans to a season-low 198 total yards in the meeting.

NCAA football odds list Ohio State the 19-point favorites with a total of 52. The favorite is 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

Analyst: Michigan State has failed to cover the spread in four consecutive meetings against Ohio State. The trend will continue because there's just too much defense in this one for the Spartans.
