College Football Odds: Arizona vs California
By Tim Furious
Arizona Wildcats (1-2) vs. #6 California Golden Bears (3-0)
Saturday, September 22nd --- Memorial Stadium Berkeley --- 6:00pm EST
Opening College Football Line: Cal -16 (46.5)
Revenge is a dish best served under the California sun, where the red-hot Golden Bears (3-0 SU, 1-1 ATS) will be preying on the Wildcats (1-2 SU, 0-2 ATS) for last season’s upset. The Golden Bears have fared well against the spread when playing Arizona, going 6-3 in their last nine contests against the Wildcats.
Arizona is a bad team on the road. They’ve only won six of their last 25 road games, and California is proving to be a rough place to play. The fans have tormented visiting teams since the Vols came to town in week one. The Bears have played some pass heavy teams, but only yielded 241.7 passing yards per game.
The Golden Bears are turnover terrors having forced seven turnovers in three games. That does not bode well a team like the Wildcats who can’t score on the ground and rely on airing the ball out to get points on the board. Arizona’s defensive side is weak and is about to get burned by DeSean Jackson at receiver. Nobody on Arizona can keep pace with that speedster as he runs away from the defense, and Cal runs away with the game.
Bet on California achieving vengeance and streaking past a weak Arizona team that got lucky last year and doesn’t belong on the same field as the surging Bears this season.
