NCAAF Wagering: Money Lines for Week 7

by Dave Golokhov

Dodging bullets with Michigan seems like a weekly occurrence but I don’t like to get by on the skin of my teeth when I’m laying -10000. What’s done is done and the bottom line is the ‘W’. Let’s look to this week:

Record: 7-1 (+870)

Kent State Golden Flashes @ Ohio State Buckeyes (-10000)

Ohio State is back in the BCS picture after an impressive win versus the upstart Purdue Boilermakers and after beating a quality team, they have to show that they can route a bad team. Ohio State is clicking on all cylinders right now and they know that any close result with Kent State will hurt their standing.

NCAA Football Free Pick: Ohio State (-10000)

Georgia Bulldogs @ Vanderbilt Commodores (+240)

This is more of a play against Georgia than it is a vote of confidence for Vanderbilt.

The Bulldogs just got smoked last week and although they are more talented than Vandy, they have been inconsistent on offense for two weeks straight and the Commodores might be able to take advantage. Georgia is a young team and going on the road in the SEC is always a test – in what should be a defensive game, I’ll take the home team.

NCAA Football Free Pick: Vanderbilt (+240)

Boston College Golden Eagles (-550) @ Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Notre Dame needed to knock out UCLA’s top quarterback to win last week and they’ll have to do the same to get by Boston College this week.

Very quietly, the Eagles have played there way into the BCS picture, yet nobody is talking about them. They are playing very well on both sides of the ball and disposed of Bowling Green last week. Notre Dame’s offense is porous and as long as BC doesn’t make mistakes and doesn’t lose their starting quarterback, they should walk to a win.

NCAA Football Free Pick: Boston College (-550)

Colorado Buffaloes (+170) @ Kansas State Wildcats

You like the bounce-back theory, don’t you? The truth is that it doesn’t necessarily work. Colorado blemished Oklahoma’s record two weeks ago and kept rolling with Baylor last week. Kansas State, on the other hand, slipped up at home to Kansas last week. I think the Buffaloes are going on to bigger, better things this season and this win will continue to show the program’s turnaround.

NCAA Football Free Pick: Colorado (+170)
