Wisconsin needs a blowout win badly, but they won’t get it here. Michigan State has surprised the nation by going undefeated with a 2-2 ATS record. The Spartans are coming off pleasing 31-14 win over Notre Dame, but they won’t be getting back-to-back victories over big name schools this Saturday.

This will be a game defined by the battle in the trenches, and Wisconsin gets the nod here. Their defensive and offensive lines are just plain nasty. Michigan State has solid men fronting the line as well, but the Badgers are simply bigger and better. Wisconsin’s front line will pry open gaps for P.J. Hill who is due for a breakout game.

The stat sheet points to Michigan State in this one and they will be able to keep it close. Staying with their running game is going to be the most important key for the Spartans. But before bettors rush to take State with the points, remember they are 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 games and they aren’t a strong road team.
