NCAAB Betting - Washington (+ 5) vs. Arizona State(- 5)

The Pac-10 is on display tonight with eight of the ten teams playing. This is one of the interesting match-ups as a good Huskies team travels to Tempe to take on what might be a very good Sun Devils team. The Sun Devils have gone 5 and 3 against the spread in their last eight games. The Huskies have gone 6 and 4 against the spread in their last 10 games. The BetUS against the spread line is right where it should be because ASU has a nice 14 and 3 straight-up record and are playing at home while the Huskies have an 11 and 7 straight-up record.
Here are some other trends:
The Washington Huskies are 4 and 0 against the spread in their last 4 games following a straight-up loss.
The Arizona State Sun Devils are 10 and 2 against the spread in their last 12 home games.
The FAVORITE if 4 and 1 against the spread in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
The ROAD team is 7 and 2 against the spread in the last 9 meetings between these two teams.
The trends are pretty conflicting in this game, but I have to say that Washington losing to the Oregon State Beavers the other night just wasn’t one of their better moments. The Huskies aren’t a terrible team, but they sure lost to a terrible team.
Can they bounce back against an ASU team that could challenge in the Pac-10? I think that they can. The main reason for me believing this is that I still can’t believe that ASU is as good as their straight-up record indicates. They beat the Arizona Wildcats in OT at home. They beat California on the road in overtime. Then, the Stanford Cardinal absolutely destroyed them in their last.
I tend to believe that ASU will play a better game tonight, but I think that Washington will play better as well. The Huskies can’t be feeling good after that loss versus the Beavers. I suspect they will come out with a bit more fire in this game.

I’ll be wagering on the Huskies to beat that spread. They’re not as bad as their record indicates and ASU may not be as good as their record indicates.
