NCAAB Betting - UCLA (- 3.5) vs. Washington State (+ 3.5)

Huge game in the Pac-10 tonight as UCLA travels up the coast to take on the WASU Cougars. The Bruins have gone a terrific 7 and 3 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 while the Cougars have gone a somewhat 3 and 7 against the spread in their last 10. What makes thing worse for the Cougars is that they’ve lost their last two games straight-up at home and against the BetUS spread.
Here are some trends:
The UCLA Bruins are 4 and 0 against the spread in their last 4 games versus a rival from the Pac-10 Conference.
The UCLA Bruins are 5 and 1 against the spread in their last 6 games on a Thursday night.
The Washington State Cougars are 1 and 6 against the spread in their last 7 games at home.
The UCLA Bruins are 7 and 3 against the spread in the last 10 meeting between these two teams.
UCLA is my pick of the night. They are only giving up 3.5 points, come into this game off of a terrific win versus the Arizona Wildcats, and are starting to play like the best team in the nation.
While North Carolina and Kansas have come back to earth a bit, the Bruins appear to be surging. I have to admit that I was wrong about Kevin Love. I didn’t doubt his skills as a big-man but what I failed to see early this year was how good he was in both open space and off the dribble.
Kevin Love might be the best college basketball player I have seen in about ten years. He doesn’t explode off the floor. Instead, he does all of the little things right which means the NBA team that drafts him after his freshmen year is going to get the closest thing to a do everything power forward since probably Tim Duncan. Love can play off the pick and roll, on the blocks from the three-point line - - everywhere.
He’s the key to the Bruins winning the championship. I think he dominates tonight and the Bruins beat the Cougars by double-digits.
