NCAA Basketball Betting – Oklahoma at No. 3 Kansas

The Kansas Jayhawks, (16-0 SU, 10-4 ATS, 6-8 O/U) have beaten the Oklahoma Sooners, (12-4 SU, 8-5 ATS, 7-6 O/U) eight consecutive times on their fabled home court, Allen Fieldhouse and enter this contest as the clear-cut favorites to make it nine straight.

Kansas, off to its best start in 11 seasons, joins North Carolina as just one of two remaining undefeated D-I teams in the nation.

The Jayhawks have one of the best offenses in the country and are ranked second in the nation in field-goal percentage, draining 52.2 percent of their shots while ranking 10th in scoring, averaging 83.7 points per game.

Kansas has also been one of the top defensive teams in the country, limiting their opponents to just 58.6 points per game (19th) on 38.2 percent shooting from the field, (20th).

The Sooners may not be in the same class as the Jayhawks, but theyr are certainly not bottom feeders either, ranking 80th in the nation in scoring, (75.1 ppg), 34th in field goal percentage, (48.2 percent) and 86th in three-point percentage, (37.5).

Oklahoma is also ranked in the top 100 in nearly every defensive category as well, ranking 47th in scoring defense, (61.8 ppg), 31st in field goal percentage, (39.0) and 26th three-point defense, (30.3).

The Sooners have thrre players averaging double figures in scoring, led by freshman forward Blake Griffin, (15.4 ppg9.1 rpg).

Sophomore forward Darrell Arthur leads the Jayhawks in scoring, averaging 13.4 points per game.

Key Totals Trends

Key Head-to-Head Trends

The Under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Kansas.

The Home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

The Under is 8-3 in the last eleven meetings.

Analysis: While I like the Jayhawks to win this game, I think the 16.5-point spread may be a bit too high for them to cover at home against a better-than-you-think Oklahoma team. Take the Sooners to cover the high spread on the road in defeat.
