NCAA Basketball Betting – Georgetown at St. John’s

The Georgetown Hoyas, (16-2 SU, 7-8 ATS, 5-10 O/U) have won three consecutive games entering this contest, but were fortunate to beat the West Virginia Mountaineers 58-57 on a last-second blocked shot by Patrick Ewing Jr. in their last game.
The St. John’s Red Storm, (7-11 SU, 6-8 ATS, 7-7 O/U) have lost five consecutive games coming into tonight’s contest and are a far, far cry from the perennially powerful program that beloved former head coach Lou Carneseca built during his nearly three-decade tenure at the school.
While the sixth-ranked Hoyas are one of the top teams in the nation, they aren’t much better than the Red Storm when it comes to cover against the spread.
Despite their mediocre ATS numbers, the Hoyas have been winning with their powerful defense. The Hoyas have won eight of their last nine, while not allowing 70 points in any contest during the span.
St. John's will certainly be challenged by the Hoyas defense, not that they need any help missing shots. St. John’s has the second-worst shooting percentage in the Big East, making just 42.2 percent of their field goal attempts this season.
The Red Storm lost to the
Louisville Cardinals 67-57 on Saturday while making just 32.1 percent of their shots from the field.
The Hoyas have won three straight and four of five against St. John's.
