NCAA Basketball Betting Action – St. John’s at UConn

The St. John’s Red Storm, (7-6 SU, 4-5 ATS, 4-5 O/U) enter tonight’s matchup coming off a thorough 70-58 spanking of Cincinnati on Saturday while the Connecticut Huskies, (10-3 SU, 2-7 ATS, 5-4 O/U) had their five-game winning streak snapped by the never-say-die Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday.
The Red Storm are averaging 68.2 points per game on 44.2 percent shooting while allowing 64.5 points per game on 40.8 percent shooting.
The Huskies are averaging a whopping 82.2 points per game on a terrific 46.5 percent mark from the field while allowing 68.5 points per contest while limiting their opponents to 36.6 percent shooting from the field.
Led by 6-foot-8 freshman forward, Justin Burrell, (12.1 ppg,7.5 rpg) the Red Storm have four players averaging double figures in scoring.
Connecticut is getting 16.4 points per game on 41 percent shooting from the field from leading scorer Jerome Dyson and has four other players also averaging double figures in scoring, including 7-foot-3 sophomore center Hasheem Thabeet, an athletic, but almost totally raw talent, who could turn out to be a gem in another couple of years.

Analysis: The Red Storm haven’t suffered a double-digit loss in any of their last five losses and although the Huskies can score the ball with the best teams in the nation, I just don’t see St. John’s losing this contest by 13 points. Take the Red Storm to cover in a loss.
