By Eric Williams
The Cincinnati Bearcats, (8-8 SU, 8-6 ATS, 5-9 O/U) have won two consecutive Big East games coming into this contest, including a solid 69-66 win over the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish, (12-3 SU, 6-6 ATS, 5-7 O/U) are looking to rebound from a 92-66 loss on Saturday at Marquette and will be playing in the comforts of home were they are the proud owners of the nation's third-longest home winning streak at 30 games.
The Bearcats have also won four of their last five after dropping five straight from Dec. 1-23 and are holding Big East opponents to a dismal .260 mark from long distance though the team has just one player, sophomore guard Deonta Vaughn, (17.3 ppg), averaging double figures in scoring.
The Irish are led by their duo of forwards Luke Harangody and Rob Kurz, who are averaging a combined 32.4 points and 17.9 rebounds per game with Harangody leading the way, with a team-high average of 18.9 points a game.
Cincinnati is averaging 65.4 points per game on 41.9 percent shooting from the field while allowing 66.9 points on 43.1 percent shooting defensively.
The Fighting Irish are averaging 78.7 points per game on 45.8 percent shooting while allowing 63.2 points per game on 38.6 percent shooting.
