College Basketball Betting - Pac-10 Tourney Offers UCLA at a Fair Price

This is the best time of the year!  Well, until baseball starts and then football, let’s not forget horse racing, and then there’s definitely the NBA playoffs…

Okay, Becky!  The truth is that every day of the year is a great day to log onto BetUS NCAAB Betting and look for some great gambling tips in the BetUS Locker Room to find out where you should put some mullah!

Because I reside in the good old land of fruits and nuts, my sweet home Los Angeles, my mind is on the Pac-10 Tournament.  I’m going to try and catch a few games at Pauley Pavilion this weekend.  Since I plan on having a few bucks on the winner of this years’ Pac-10 tournament, I’m excited!

Of course, BetUS is offering odds on the winner of the Pac-10 tournament.  I’ve got a pretty solid analysis below.  My thinking is that us college basketball bettors should get our feet wet before the Big Dance.  Why not take a stab at a few teams in all of the conference tournaments?

Pac-10 Conference Tournament

UCLA Bruins - - BetUS odds – 110 - - The odds are incredibly fair on the team that I think will make a huge run in the NCAA Tournament.  I absolutely love the UCLA Bruins not only in the Pac-10 Tournament but in the NCAA Tournament as well.  For me the difference is Kevin Love and Josh Shipp.  Shipp broke out of his slump this past weekend against the California Golden Bears.  UCLA was all out to win, but good teams face adversity and walk away winners.  That’s exactly what UCLA did.  I don’t see this team looking back any time soon.  Giving up “juice” is terrific on one of the top four teams in the nation.

Washington State Cougars - - BetUS odds + 450 - - The odds aren’t bad, but I don’t see the Cougars doing much in the Pac-10 Tourney this year.  Sure, they have the talent to win it, but this team tends to get into a rut.  I feel one coming on.  Not only will they not perform admirably in the Pac-10 Tournament, but I also predict an early exit from the NCAA Tournament.  I just don’t think the Cougars have what it takes.

Stanford Cardinal - - BetUS odds + 500 - - Fair odds on a consistent team who is the most likely candidate to upset UCLA in this tournament.  I don’t see it, though.  I mean, these guys are consistent, but they don’t seem to have that killer instinct.  The close games versus USC who sort of ran them off their feet was not cool.  They also should have lost to the Arizona Wildcats this year.  Great front-court, suspect back-court.  The back-court is the key in the conference tournament as well as the national tournament.

Southern Cal Trojans - - BetUS odds + 750 - - I expect coach Tim Floyd to use the Pac-10 Tournament to tighten the screws on his USC Trojans.  They should win a few games, maybe even make it to the championship, and then lose to UCLA.  They should.  That doesn’t mean that they will.  The maturity level of this team is still in question.  I can’t recommend at the odds.

Arizona Wildcats - - BetUS odds + 900 - - The team is better then they play, but that doesn’t matter, right?  Everybody looks good on paper with those huge numbers, but they have to translate into wins.  For some reason these guys can’t put a solid run together.  No worries.  Their RPI ranking puts them in the national tournament, but they are a solid bet to exit not only the NCAA Tournament early, but this Pac-10 Tournament as well.

Oregon Ducks - - BetUS odds + 1000 - - This is the upset special.  If somebody is going to upset the UCLA Bruins in this tournament, I predict that it will be the Oregon Ducks.  Oregon was ranked in the Top 25 before the season started.  They have a solid inside/outside game and are well-coached.  So what’s the problem?  I don’t know.  They just haven’t had a very good year.  It’s not too late for this team to make waves in both the Pac-10 Tournament as well as in the Big Dance.  Watch out!

***The Others

Arizona State Sun Devils - - Their BetUS odds to win the Pac-10 Tournament, 10 to 1, aren’t bad, but I just don’t think this team can do it.  They are a cut below the UCLAs and Stanfords.

Washington Huskies - - 30 to 1 aren’t bad odds on a team who is use to winning, but these guys are bad.  I mean, they are bad.  The Pac-10 is too tough this year for the Huskies to win the tournament.

California Golden Bears - - Another team at 30 to 1 BetUS NCAAB betting odds to pull a shocker and win the Pac-10 Tournament.  Like the Huskies, I just feel it is asking too much.

Oregon State Beavers - - 150 to 1 BetUS odds to win the Pac-10 Tournament, 6 total wins on the season…uh, I don’t think so.
