NCAA Basketball Betting - Oklahoma State at Texas A&M
By Charles Jay
The Texas A&M Aggies (20-4 SU, 11-8 ATS) have made a lot of BetUS college basketball bettors happy lately. And while the Aggies are looking to make their big move as March Madness approaches, and they will be hosting the Oklahoma State Cowboys (12-12 SU, 6-10 ATS) at the Reed Arena in College Station. Tipoff time for this Big 12 clash is 3:30 PM ET.
Here are some of the NCAA college basketball betting trends as they relate to this matchup:
* OSU has covered two of its last six games
* OSU has lost seven of its last nine games SU
* OSU has played five of its last seven games UNDER the total
* OSU has covered on of its last ten road games
* OSU has lost its last 19 road games SU
* OSU has played four of its last six road games OVER the total
* A&M has won and covered its last five games
* A&M has played five of its last eight games UNDER the total
* A&M has won 18 of its last 19 home games SU
* A&M has covered five of the last seven meetings
* A&M has won four of the last five meetings SU
* The last five meetings have gone UNDER the total
* A&M has had the shooting edge in each of the last five meetings
* A&M has had the rebounding edge in each of the last four meetings
The first time these two teams met, A&M had just come off playing five overtime periods with Baylor. So understandably they were listless in being able to just get by OSU by a 59-56 score. The Cowboys come off a 10-point win over tourney-seeking Baylor, which serves to keep the price down a little. But there is no escaping the hard fact that Oklahoma State not only can't win on the road - dropping 19 straight games - they've covered one of the last ten away from home.
Fundamentals are not strong for OSU. The Cowboys are at minus-1.4 in their assist-to-turnover ratio. They're shooting less than 44%. They rebound poorly (just 30 per game). And they have the misfortune of catching an Aggie squad that is +9 in the rebounding category this season.
We see no justifiable reason to back Oklahoma State here. So we lay the points with Texas A&M, the home favorite in the BetUS NCAA college basketball betting odds.
JAY'S PREDICTION: TEXAS A&M BY 22
