NCAAB Betting - North Carolina (- 12.5) vs. Georgia Tech (+ 12.5)

The Tar Heels sure looked good this past Saturday. They thumped a pretty good North Carolina State team at home by over 30 points. Georgia Tech is an okay team, not great, but okay.
Maybe some trends can help us figure this thing out:
The North Carolina Tar Heels are 12-1 against the spread in their last 13 games as a favorite of 7 to 12.5 points.
The North Carolina Tar Heels are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 games as a FAVORITE on the road.
The North Carolina Tar Heels are 0 and 5 against the spread in their last 5 meetings versus Georgia Tech on the road.
The Georgia Tech Yellowjackets are 8 and 0 against the spread in their last 8 games at home versus a team with a winning record.
North Carolina is the best team in college basketball this year. After watching Memphis, Kansas and NC, I have to give the nod to the Tar Heels. They have no flaws at play a tough enough schedule to get them into the Big Dance in good shape.
College basketball is all about testing yourself early and NC has done that. With all of my love towards NC, I still can’t get myself to wager on them in this spot.
The Georgia Tech Yellowjackets are a terrific home squad. Not only that but their brand of defense could give NC some problems. I don’t think that the Yellowjackets will win this game outright, but I do believe that getting the Tar Heels at home is huge tonight.
The Jackets will slow this game down and make every possession count. That means NC will have to do the same. I just believe that 12.5 point is too much to give for such a terrific ACC rivalry between the Jackets and the Tar Heels.
I like the Jackets in tonight’s game.
