NCAA Basketball Betting - Nebraska at Texas A&M
by Charles Jay
BetUS NCAA basketball betting matchup:
The Nebraska Cornhuskers (15-9 SU, 5-11 ATS) go to a very dangerous place - the road - when they travel to College Station on Saturday to play the Texas A&M Aggies (20-6 SU, 11-10 ATS) in Big 12 action tipping off at 4 PM ET from the Reed Arena, at which NoDoz may well be available to the crowd due to Nebraska's slow, slow pace.

Here are some of the NCAAB betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* A&M has covered five of its last seven games
* A&M has played four of its last five games UNDER the total
* A&M has won 18 of its last 20 home games SU
* The teams are both 3-3 SU & ATS in the last six meetings
* NEB has had the shooting edge in three of the last five meetings
* A&M has made more three-pointers in three of the last five meetings
Last Saturday, Nebraska took a 24-11 lead into the halftime break, having allowed Iowa State just three field goals, only to completely collapse in the second half, being outscored by a 49-28 count, losing the straight-up win AND the cover. Very embarrassing. But the Huskers bounced back from that defeat nicely, beating Kansas State behind 52% shooting on Wednesday.
By that passage, we mean to illustrate a couple of things - that Nebraska is something of a Jekyll-and-Hyde act when it comes to its road and home efforts, and that it is fully capable of pulling off an upset in the friendly environs of the Devaney Center. The Huskers have now beaten Arizona State, Oregon, Texas Tech and Kansas State at home.
This would seem to be relatively difficult timing for the Aggies. Just when it looked like first-year coach Mark Turgeon had completely turned the corner with this team, chalking up five straight wins after losing consecutive games to Texas Tech, Kansas State and Baylor, A&M laid an egg at home against Oklahoma State, supplying Sean Sutton's club with its first road win in 20 tries, then was routed at Texas, shooting just 30%.
But there would also be, it seems, an angry Aggie bunch stepping out onto the court at the Reed Center. Going back to Nebraska - the Huskers can not win on the road. In fact, they've covered just one of their last eleven away from home, and are capable of some pretty bad performances; all you have to do is look at their scoring output, which is 310th in the nation (57.3 ppg).
There's a large pointspread to overcome, but A&M can do it. Or more to the point, Nebraska probably can't. Lay it with Aggies in the BetUS NCAA college basketball betting odds.
JAY'S PREDICTION: TEXAS A&M BY 24
