College Basketball Betting - NEBRASKA at OKLAHOMA STATE

BetUS college basketball betting fans will have an opportunity to see one of the nation's best defensive teams in action on Saturday when the Nebraska Cornhuskers (17-9 SU, 7-11 ATS) visit Stillwater to face off against the Oklahoma State Cowboys (15-12 SU, 9-10 ATS) in a Big 12 matchup that is set to begin at 1:45 PM ET at the Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Here are some of the NCAAB betting trends as they relate to this matchup:
* NEB has won and covered four of its last six games
* NEB has won and covered two of its last 12 road games
* NEB has played five of its last seven road games UNDER the total
* OSU has covered four of its last five games
* OSU has won five of its last six games SU
* OSU has played seven of its last 10 games UNDER the total
* OSU has covered four of its last six home games
* OSU has won 13 of its last 16 home games SU
* OSU has played five of its last six home games UNDER the total
* NEB has covered seven of the last eight meetings
* NEB has covered five of the last seven meetings as the road team
* OSU has won four of the last five meetings SU as the home team
* NEB has had the shooting edge in four of the last five meetings
* NEB has had the rebounding edge in each of the last four meetings
Are you kidding? You mean Nebraska could actually have a chance at the NCAA tournament if they can win two of their last three conference games and maybe a win in the Big 12 tournament? That would seem to be a distinct possibility at this point, as the Huskers have scored consecutive wins over three Big 12 contenders in Kansas State, Texas A&M and Oklahoma. Add wins over Oregon and Arizona State, and you have a "bubble" team.
We must admit that we are a little skeptical about Nebraska's road performances, although coach Doc Sadler may be more popular away from Lincoln after expressing disappointment at the crowd for a game a couple of weeks ago against Missouri. And at the same time we must acknowledge that if the Texas A&M win - which took place at College Station - is an indication of real progress on this team, there is no reason the Huskers should not be competitive against up-and-down Oklahoma State, even though the Cowboys have had a revival of their own, winning four straight, including victories over A&M and Kansas.
Freshman point guard Cookie Miller, who is nursing a shoulder injury, is a question mark for this game, but he may play for Nebraska. And besides, the Cornhuskers beat Oklahoma without him.
Two keys here - Nebraska is on a hot shooting streak, hitting 52% against K-State, 59% against A&M, and 50% against Oklahoma. Part of that is the strength in the middle with underrated center Aleks Maric. And the Huskers play defense well enough (39.7% FG's, 59.7 ppg allowed) to keep almost any game close.
We'll grab the points with Nebraska, the underdog in the BetUS NCAA basketball betting odds, and look for the upset.
