The La Salle Explorers, (14-14 SU, 13-5-1 ATS, 13-6 O/U), face a tall task tonight when they hit the road to take on the Massachusetts Minutemen, (19-9 SU, 13-11-1 ATS, 15-10 O/U), as UMass will hold its annual Senior Night festivities.

As one of several teams bunched in the top and middle of the Atlantic 10 - the Explorers are attempting to secure a bye in the Atlantic 10 tourney for the second time in three seasons.

 

The good news for LaSalle is the fact that they have compiled an impressive 6-1 record on the road in the Atlantic 10, though they come into tonight’s matchup off a 91-85 loss to Rhode Island that snapped their five-game winning streak.

The bad news for the Explorers is that the Minutemen come into tonight’s showdown riding a four-game winning streak that includes a solid 78-74 win at Richmond on Saturday.

UMass has averaged 85.8 points in their four wins and is averaging a whopping 82.5 points per game on the season on 44.4 percent shooting while allowing 77.5 points per game on 43.0 percent shooting.

The Explorers are averaging 74.9 points per game on 44.5 percent shooting while allowing 74.3 points per game on 45.8 percent shooting.
