NCAAB Betting - Florida (- 1) vs. South Carolina (+ 1)

This is the only game in the SEC tonight. It pits two teams going in opposite directions. With a win the Gators almost assuredly will get back into the Top 25. The Gamecocks have no chance of doing much this year, but with the announcement of their coach, Dave Odom’s, retirement at the end of the year, many odds-makers expect the Gamecocks to come out on fire. Therefore, the line is only 1 point.

Here are some trends that might shed some light on this game:

The Florida Gators are 5 and 0 in their last overall 5 games.

The Florida Gators are 8 and 0 in their last 8 games versus a fellow team from the Southeastern Conference.

The UNDERDOG is 6 and 1 against the spread in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.

I have nothing against emotion. It’s natural right? Nobody should keep their emotions all bottled up, but these are the Florida Gators were talking about here. They’re only giving up 1 point against a team that isn’t even close to being in their league?

Are you kidding me, Becky? I can’t get past the fact that the Gators are 16 and 3 straight-up while South Carolina is 9 and 8 straight-up. I understand that the Gamecocks will be playing with a lot of fire after the announced retirement of their coach, but I’m not sure if it will be enough.

Coach Billy Donovan for the Gators is a master motivator. I suspect that he will have his team ready for whatever comes their way tonight. They are better than the Gamecocks in every position on the court. That will the spell difference in this game.
