The Duke Blue Devils, (11-1 SU, 6-5 ATS, 5-6 O/U) are looking like ACC and national title contenders with their boatload of blue-chip players that have left most of their opponents crumpled in their wake this season.

The Temple Owls, (6-6 SU, 5-7 ATS, 4-8 O/U) have an absolutely fine head coach in former University of Pennsylvania longtime head coach, Fran Dunphy, but are sorely missing the special brand of magic that former head coach John Chaney brought to the table.

The Blue Devils beat Cornell 81-67 on Sunday to get back to their winning ways after losing to a feisty Pittsburgh team 65-64 in overtime on Dec. 20.

The Owls are 2-1 in their last three games but lost to defending national champion Florida 86-69 in their last contest on Dec. 29.

The Blue Devils are averaging 86.3 points per game on 49.3 percent shooting while allowing 63.3 points per game on 40.7 percent shooting.

The Owls are averaging 71.3 points per game on 47.8 percent shooting while limiting their opponents to 70.2 points per game on 43.6 percent shooting.

The Blue Devils have four players averaging double figures in scoring, led by senior guard DeMarcus Nelson (13.8 ppg) while the Owls are led by one of the best scorers in the nation in junior forward Dionte Christmas, (20.9 ppg).

The Owls haven’t been beaten by 15 points this season and I see absolutely no reason whatsoever to believe they will be in this contest. Take the Owls to cover the spread easily.
