College Basketball Betting - ACC Matchup Wake Forest Vs. Maryland

Separated by just a half-game in the crowded ACC standings, the Maryland Terrapins, (17-11 SU, 10-12-1 ATS, 12-11 O/U) and Wake Forest Demon Deacons, (16-9 SU, 13-6-1 ATS, 10-10 O/U) are two young ACC teams that have exhibited the inconsistency this season that often accompanies the growing pains that young ball clubs often go through.
While both teams have managed to post records that are respectable in the sense that they are both solidly over .500, neither team is ready to take on the ‘big boys’ of their own conference or national scale on a regular basis.
Maryland is 6-4 in its last ten games but has dropped two straight games coming into this contest, including a resounding 78-63 defeat at the hands of Miami on Saturday.
Wake Forest is just 5-5 in its last ten games but has also won three of its last four, though they lost at No. 2 North Carolina 89-73 on Sunday.
The Terrapins are a respectable 6-3-1 against the spread in their last ten games while Wake Forest has managed to cover the spread in eight of their last ten.
Maryland is averaging 73.4 points per game on 45.9 percent shooting while allowing opponents to score just 68.6 points per game on 39.0 percent shooting from the field, a mark that leads the ACC and is 16th in the nation.
The Terrapins have held each of their last 40 opponents to under 50 percent shooting from the field. That is the longest active streak in the ACC.
The Demon Deacons are averaging 72.8 points per game on 43.8 percent shooting while allowing 68.1 points per game on 42.4 percent shooting.
Maryland downed Wake Forest, 71-64, on Jan. 15 in College Park.
Sophomore, Greivis Vasquez, leads the Terps, who have four players averaging double figures in scoring, averaging with 17.5 points per game. He is the fourth-leading scorer in the Atlantic Coast Conference while freshman James Johnson leads Wake Forest with 15.1 points per contest.

Analysis: Expect this game to be all about revenge as Maryland beat Wake Forest 71-64 at home on Jan. 15. Take the Demon Deacons, who are an even better team than when they played in January, to cover this spread with a solid effort at home.
