The Louisville Cardinals, (16-6 SU, 9-10-1 ATS, 7-13 O/U) pounded the Marquette Golden Eagles, (16-4 SU, 7-8 ATS, 8-7 O/U) 71-51 in handing their Big East counterparts their worst loss of the regular season on Jan. 17.

Now, the Golden Eagles are hoping to extract a huge measure of revenge as the series moves back to Marquette’s home floor in Milwaukee.

The 17th-ranked Golden Eagles enter their final showdown of the regular season with the Cardinals looking to keep their spotless home record intact.

Marquette has won three straight coming into this contest, including an emphatic 75-60 victory over an athletic Cincinnati squad on Saturday while the Cardinals romped over Rutgers 87-50 also on Saturday.

"They're a team that doesn't like (getting beat by 20) too much," Louisville guard Edgar Sosa said. "They have a lot of pride. They're ready to go to war and we have to be ready to go to war with them."

 

Marquette has won a dozen home games this season, averaging 78.0 points in five conference home games and outscoring opponents by more than 15 points per contest.

"The other game was a long time ago," Louisville coach Rick Pitino said. "We know we are going to a very difficult situation."

 

The Cardinals are 6-3-1 against the spread in its last ten games and covered as 18.5-point favorites over Rutgers while the

Golden Eagles are just 3-6 against the spread in their last nine.
