The Horizon tournament Championship is all set and ready to go as Cleveland State and Butler get set to square off for the third time this season. Each club protected its home turf earlier this season as Butler knocked the Vikings off 51-46 back in mid February, while Cleveland State got the best of Butler in their own house by a 56-52 final count. Cleveland State covered both games as 6-point home pups and as 12-point road underdogs. Both games also fell comfortably Under the posted ‘total’ with the contest at CSU being the higher scoring.

Cleveland State finished second in the Horizon regular standings this season with a decent 12-6 mark. They were issued the #2 seed in the tournament, and disposed of Valparaiso as 1.5-point favorites 78-73 in their lone Horizon Tournament game. As a visitor this season, the Vikings went a combined 8-8 SU and 8-6 ATS. Their biggest road win of the season came way back in November when they upended Florida State 69-66 on a neutral floor in overtime as a 12.5-point underdog.

As for Butler, they secured another Horizon League Championship under first year Head Coach Brad Stevens. They earned the #1 seed in the tournament, and got the best of UIC in their lone match-up of the post-season. The 66-50 final count saw Butler cover as 10-point chalks and the combined score fall Under the closing ‘total’ of 125. Butler went a stellar 14-1 SU in the Hinkle Fieldhouse this season, but they only managed an 8-7 ATS mark through those 15 games. They got the best of Florida State this season at home, but they also pounded non-conference foes Bradley and Ohio State in this venue.
