Big 12 NCAA Basketball – Missouri vs. Nebraska
By Eric Williams
The Missouri Tigers, (16-15 SU, 8-17 ATS, 16-9 O/U), have won just four of their last ten games in the BetUS.com Sportsbook and just once in their last four contests including a 75-66 loss to Oklahoma on Saturday.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers, (18-11 SU, 9-12 ATS, 11-10 O/U), have won four of their last six games, including an overwhelming 68-49 win over Colorado on Sunday.
The teams split two regular season contests with each team winning on the others’ home court. Nebraska beat Mizzou 66-62 on Jan. 30 while the Tigers got their revenge by beating the Cornhuskers 86-78 in overtime on Feb. 13.
The Tigers are averaging 77.8 points per game on 45.8 percent shooting while allowing 72.6 points per game on 43.9 percent shooting.
The Cornhuskers are averaging 67.5 points per game on 46.0 percent shooting and have excelled at the defensive end of the floor, limiting their opponents to just 60.3 points per game on 40.1 percent shooting.
Missouri is just 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games and has failed to cover the spread in six consecutive games while the Cornhuskers are a respectable 5-5 against the spread in their last ten games and even more impressive 5-1 against the spread in their last six games.
Here is a look at tonight’s Key Trends, followed by my NCAA Basketball Picks.
The Tigers are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 Thursday games.
The Tigers are 18-37-1 ATS in their last 56 vs. Big 12.
The Cornhuskers are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
The Cornhuskers are 5-1 ATS in their last six vs. Big 12.
The Over is 6-0 in Tigers last six neutral site games as an underdog.
The Over is 19-7 in Cornhuskers last 26 games as a favorite of 0.5-6.5.
The Tigers are 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven meetings.
Analysis: Despite the fact that these two teams split games in the regular season, I think the Cornhuskers are a much better team than Missouri at the moment and will play accordingly in this contest. Take Nebraska to cover the spread with a solid victory tonight.
