Bet on Super Bowl XLII Props – Tom Brady Completion Props
By Russell Edward
There are so many Super Bowl XLII prop bets with odds on the play of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning that it is hard to know where to begin. Props are the bets that have nothing to do with the outcome of the game, but are based on individual stats or other aspects of games. Some could be won or lost very early in the game while others might not be decided until the final minutes of the game. These bets will keep you entertained through the entire game, no matter what the outcome is looking like.
New York Giants +11.5 vs. New England Patriots –11.5
Let’s discuss some quick props that will ensure you keep you glued to the stats for almost all of the game. Just go to the BetUS sportsbook and scroll down past the Superbowl lines and then past the alternative Super Bowl odds. Below, you’ll see all kinds of possible Super Bowl bets. In the QB Props section, you’ll find these quarterback prop wagers that you can bet on. We’ll go by the numbers on the left of the bets, called Rotation Numbers, to make it easier to follow.
Super Bowl Betting: 6:20 p.m. EST in Glendale, Arizona
Number 554/555: Think Tom Brady will complete at least 26 passes in his fourth appearance in a Super Bowl? This is a tough giants defense after all. What about the earlier games? How many is the norm for this star? Well, you don’t have a lot of leeway here, as Brady’s average number of completions is 25 per game. However, we can be pretty sure that the Giants are going to try to take away much of the passing game and force the Patriots running game to beat them. 26 completions is a lot in a title game; you would be making the safer play by taking the under on this one.
Number 560/561: Through the 2007 NFL season, Tom Brady has been completing an average of 14 passes in each first half. The books have left you with a coin flip on the first half Super Bowl props for him, too, by setting the over/under at 14. If you are only going to play one half, skip to the second one; you still have first half action with your full game wager!
Number 565/566: Here is where we get percentages on our side against Brady, something most people never seem to get. Let’s thank the BetUS sportsbook oddsmakers for setting the line at the same as the first half: 13.5 completions. His average is just 11, meaning Brady would have to increase his completions by almost 28% for you to lose this wager. In such a big game, and with the running game and blockers intact, there is a good chance we’ll see mostly runs from the Pats in the fourth quarter. Take the under here, and hit it hard!
