Super Bowl Betting Props – Props for Ben Watson

This year, as has been the recent trend, tight ends will be making important contributions to the passing game in Super Bowl XLII. An increasingly important part of many offenses, tight ends have become a weapon that cannot be ignored. Not just blockers anymore you can bet on tight end reception props in the BetUS sportsbook for Super Bowl XLII. If you hate to think about how there is only one game left to bet on, you may console yourself with the fact that this sportsbook has more football wagering options available on more players in more positions for Super Bowl XLII than you have had available for all the games of the regular NFL betting season, combined.

New York Giants +11.5 vs. New England Patriots –11.5

Just go to the BetUS sportsbook and scroll down past the Super Bowl lines and then past the alternative Super Bowl odds. Below, in the RB Props section, you’ll find these New England Patriots tight end prop wagers to bet on. We’ll go by the numbers on the left of the bets, called Rotation Numbers, to make it easier to follow.

Super Bowl Betting: 6:20 p.m. EST in Glendale, Arizona

Number 442/443: The over/under set by the bookies for this Ben Watson prop, which deals with how many catches he will have in the Super Bowl, is 2.5. In 14 games this season, Watson had three or more catches just six times and, in seven playoff games in his career, he has had three or more catches three times. Just going by stats alone, both sets of numbers give you a 57% chance of winning this bet by taking under 2.5 catches. However, as the Giants will try to shut down Wes Welker, who embarrassed them in Week 17, Watson should be the recipient of at least one or two more balls, as will Jabbar Gaffney. Go against the grain here and take the over for a winner.

Number 530/531: Will his first catch be for more or less than 7.5 yards, this prop bet asks you to decide. Watson has averaged over 10-and-a-half yards per catch while bringing in 39 balls this season. Take the over here.

Number 556/557: Will Watson’s longest catch be for more than 13.5 yards, or less? This one is a toss up, as he has had many catches longer than 13.5 yards, but has had seven of his 14 games go by with his longest catch being less than the 14 needed to win with the over here. This is one of those coin flip, fun bets that you can brag about if you win, but certainly don’t have to feel dumb if it does not come through. Either way, a small wager for fun will keep you watching the veteran until the final offensive play for the Patriots.
