Football Betting – Eagles Land in Dallas

Earlier this season, the Cowboys waltzed into the City of Brotherly love and absolutely destroyed the home team Eagles 38-17. Since then, the Cowboys have gotten better, while Philly’s struggles have continued both on and off the field. The NFL betting line favors the home team cowboys here by 11.5 points, and they could easily cover with their explosive offense led by the mercurial Terrell Owens and the exciting young, rising superstar quarterback they just signed to a long-term deal, Tony Romo.

Philadelphia Eagles +11.5 at Dallas Cowboys –11.5

Was it really all Bill Parcells would have had to do last season was to make TO the go-to guy, for the Cowboys top have advanced in the playoffs? Wade Philips, people, is not a good coach; do not be fooled by this display of greatness you are witnessing in Texas. If anything, he has given the reins to offensive coordinator Jason Garrett who, now that he does not have a huge ego to contend with, can run the offense in a manner that gets the big loudmouthed wideout into the action any time it can. When it can’t, as we witnessed last week, tight end Jason Witten can step up and make the play any time. Then again, maybe that decision to be hands off makes Philips a better coach than what Parcells is now. This is too scary to think about any longer.

The Cowboys should be able to put an extra man on running back Brian Westbrook in this game, as Donavon McNabb has been struggling all season and is likely on his way out of Philly. He actually seems like the type that gives up when things are not going his way, at least since the Super Bowl, so we might not witness anything great against Dallas. Then again, he will be playing for a job somewhere, so he might want to impress. It is sad that the Eagles have fallen to the point where they are 12.5-points football betting dogs in what use to be close divisional battles. Then again, they might make it just that.
