NBA Betting - New Jersey (+ 8) vs. Golden State (- 8)

The New Jersey Nets have gone 3 and 7 against the spread in their last 10 games. The Golden State Warriors have gone 4 and 6 against the spread in their last 10 games. One of these teams, unless they push, is going to win against the BetUS – 8 against the spread tonight.

Maybe, a look at some other trends could help us figure out which team that will be:

The New Jersey Nets are 0 and 6 against the spread in their last 6 overall games.

The Golden State Warriors are 6 and 1 against the spread in their last 7 games after a straight-up loss.

The New Jersey Nets are 4 and 0 against the spread the last 4 meetings between these two teams.

The HOME team is 4 and 1 against the spread in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

Every trend imaginable has the Golden State Warriors covering the BetUS – 8 against the spread in tonight’s game. I can’t go against these trends. The Warriors are the better team, they are at home, and the Nets are just awful.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the Nets. With Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson, and Jason Kidd in the line-up, you would think that the Nets could win a few more games then the 18 that they’ve won so far this season.

I believe a lot of it has to do with the fact that the Nets are just a tired team. They don’t appear to have the drive that they did in years’ past. Without the coaching presence of Byron Scott, now in New Orleans, the Nets just don’t have it. They don’t care to win.

That attitude is different from the Golden State Warriors who play the type of game that could really hurt the Nets. Golden State loves to run up and down the court. The Nets have been blown out by the Clippers and Suns lately. Both of those teams like to run as well.

What chance do the Nets have of keeping this game close? Not much of one that’s for sure!

I’m going with the Warriors to beat this spread by a wide margin. I just don’t see the Nets keeping up with Golden State in the fourth quarter. That’s when the game will get out of reach.
