NBA Betting Free Picks – High-Scoring Between Warriors, Mavs

For NBA bettors who enjoy offense, tonight’s matchup between the Golden State Warriors, (19-13 SU, 16-16 ATS, 15-16-1 O/U) and Dallas Mavericks, (20-11 SU, 13-17-1 ATS, 16-15 O/U) is sure to please – seeing as how each team can score the ball fairly prolifically, (G.S. 108.5 ppg, Dallas 100.8 ppg), but neither team is very competent defensively, though the Mavericks are ranked a surprising 12th in points allowed, giving up just 97.4 points per game.

Each team has won seven of their last 10 games, with the Warriors coming into this matchup riding a two-game winning streak, including Monday night’s 112-95 win over the Houston Rockets.

The inconsistent Mavericks have dropped two of their last three games, but managed to take down the Atlanta Hawks, winning 97-84 on Saturday despite the fact that supposed ‘team leader’ Dirk Nowitzki has shot a tepid 40 percent from the field in the last three games.

The eighth-seeded Warriors, who knocked the top-seeded Mavericks out of the playoffs in the first last season, have been getting some spectacular play from point guard Baron Davis, who has averaged 26.8 points and 9.0 assists over the last five games and torched the Mavericks in last season’s playoffs to the tune of 25.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game.

Here is a look at tonight’s Key Trends, followed by my NBA Betting Free Picks:

Key Warriors Trends

The Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games.

The Warriors are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 vs. NBA Southwest.

The Warriors are 21-6-2 ATS in their last 29 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

Key Mavericks Trends

The Mavericks are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six vs. Western Conference.

The Mavericks are 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 games following a S.U. win.

The Mavericks are 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 vs. NBA Pacific.

Key Totals Trends

The Under is 6-0 in Warriors last six road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600.

The Under is 5-0-1 in Warriors last six Wednesday games.

The Under is 4-0 in Mavericks last four home games.

The Under is 4-0 in Mavericks last four Wednesday games.

Key Head-to-Head Trends

The Warriors are 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in Dallas.

The Over is 7-1 in the last eight meetings in Dallas.

The Home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

Analysis: The Warriors have actually been a better team on the road this season than at home, going 11-7 so far straight up and a solid 10-8 ATS on the road. With the teams’ recent history – not to mention their early-season meeting this season, it’s hard to go against the Warriors in this contest, particularly knowing how well they’ve played on the road this season. Take the Warriors and the ‘Over’ NBA bettors and don’t look back.
