NBA Basketball Betting – Utah at Phoenix

BetUS NBA betting odds: PHOENIX -6.5, Total 225.5

The Utah Jazz (13-9 SU, 9-11 ATS) will try to snap a four-game losing streak tonight when they visit US Airways Center to play the Phoenix Suns (16-6 SU, 10-12 ATS) in a nationally-televised game with a 10:30 PM EST tipoff.

In the BetUS NBA basketball betting odds, the Suns are listed at -6.5, with the total posted at 225.5 points.

In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA basketball betting trends:

* UTAH has won four of the last five meetings SU

* UTAH has covered four of the last six meetings

* UTAH has covered seven of its last eight trips to Phoenix

* The road team has covered seven of the last eight meetings

Utah lost two of the games in its streak despite shooting 54% against San Antonio and 60.5% against Dallas. On the season, the Jazz leads the NBA with 49.5% from the field. Point guard Deron Williams (21 ppg, 9 apg) continues to develop into one of the league's best at his position. Carlos Boozer (25 ppg, 11.3 rpg) is again dominant on the inside. And Ron Brewer has been a nice suprise at the shooting guard (13.7 ppg). Together, those three are shooting a combined 55%. Jerry Sloan's team has been just so-so at best when it comes to its road trips, winning five of 12 games, although if you look at recent seasons it has played well in the Valley of the Sun. Also:

* UTAH has played six OVERS in its last seven games

* UTAH has lost four of its last five road games

* UTAH is 4-7 ATS on the road this season

Phoenix is off a home loss to Miami. In fact, the team has lost two of its last three home games. This year the players are doing what they've always done - Amare Stoudamire has been a load underneath (21 ppg), Steve Nash is finding the open man (12.3 apg), Shawn Marion is pulling down 11 boards a game, and Leandro Barbosa is a general pest whenever he gets playing time (18 ppg). Grant Hill has come over from Orlando, and he was one of a triumvirate of Suns scoring 19 points piece in the Miami loss (including Marion and Raja Bell). Also:

* PHX is only 3-6 ATS in its last nine games

* PHX has played six OVERS in its last seven games

* PHX has played five OVERS in its last seven home games

These are the two best shooting teams in the league. And they have been relatively accommodating on defense. Points shouldn't be a problem. But let's look to the "side" here. Utah won three of four meetings last year, including two in Phoenix. And they have a strong recent history visiting Phoenix, covering seven of the last eight. Let's grab the points with Utah, the 6.5-point underdog in the BetUS NBA betting odds.
