NBA Basketball Betting – Kings at Clippers

The Sacramento Kings (18-22 SU, 23-16 ATS), currently riding a three-game winning streak, travel downstate to Los Angeles on Wednesday night to take on the Clippers (12-25 SU, 17-20 ATS), struggling as usual, in NBA action that is slated for a 10:30 PM ET tipoff from the Staples Center.

In the BetUS NBA basketball betting odds, the Kings are listed as a 3.5-point favorite, with the total posted at 200 points.

In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA betting trends:

* SAC has covered seven of the last ten meetings

* SAC has won 15 of the last 18 meetings SU

* Five of the last six meetings have gone UNDER the total

* SAC has won and covered seven of the last eight meetings as the road team

* Fourteen of the last 20 meetings in L.A. have gone UNDER the total

* LA has had the rebounding edge in each of the last seven meetings

Sacramento averages 99.9 points per game. The Kings are shooting 46% from the field, and are third in the league with 80% shooting from the free throw line. But they are 29th in the NBA with 39.3 rebounds a game. Also:

* SAC has won and covered four of its last five games

* SAC has played six of its last eight games OVER the total

* SAC has covered seven of its last eight road games

* SAC has won six of its last 19 road games SU

The Clippers are 30th in the NBA in scoring, at 93.4 points a game. They shot just 43.1% from the field, but rank 11th in the NBA in points allowed at home with 96.3 ppg. Also:

* LA has won three of its last 15 games SU

* LA has played four of its last six games OVER the total

* LA has played 15 of its last 23 games UNDER the total

* LA has covered four of its last six home games

* LA has won three of its last 15 home games SU

* LA has played four of its last five home games OVER the total

We certainly appreciate that the Clippers have put together a few covering efforts lately at home; included among them were straight-up wins over New Jersey and Phoenix. But you'd have to consider Sacramento to be going in a much more positive direction right now. The Kings have covered seven of their last eight on the road, and have won and covered four of their last five overall. They may not be the rested team in this matchup, but in last night's 128-94 thumping of the Nets they did get an opportunity to empty out the bench, giving some key players a break.

Ron Artest, Kevin Martin and Mike Bibby, who were all starting together for the first time this season, scored a combined 61 points; the team shot 57.5% and made 15 three-pointers. Coach Reggie Theus sees his offense evolving into something very free-wheeling, and now he basically has scoring threats at every position and depth too (seven players in double figures last night).

With team chemistry level and spirits high right now, this is probably too much for the Clippers to handle at this time. Sacramento is looking for some payback after being beaten at the ARCO Arena by a 97-87 score on December 7. They'll get it.

We lay the points with Sacramento, the team on the roll and the 3.5-point favorite in the BetUS NBA basketball betting odds.
