NBA Betting Trends – Cavaliers Looking To Stay Hot Against Blazers

While the Cleveland Cavaliers, (24-19 SU, 20-23 ATS, 22-20-1 O/U) are heating up faster than Vinny ‘The Microwave’ Johnson, the Portland Trail Blazers, (26-18 SU, 26-18 ATS, 18-25-1 O/U) have cooled off quicker than a east coast snow storm.

The Cavaliers have won eight of their last 10 – and four straight on the road - including a solid 98-95 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

Superstar swingman, LeBron James has taken his game to another jaw-dropping level this season, leading the league in scoring (29.9 ppg) and has averaged 32.4 points per game since the start of the new year.

The Trailblazers are just 5-5 in its last 10 games and picked up a close, 94-93 home victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.

The Blazers have been hurt by a recent lack of offense. After averaging 102.9 points per game during their recent 17-1 run that ended on Jan. 9, the Blazers are averaging just 95.0 points per game.

The Cavaliers may be without reserve forward Anderson Varejao who sprained his left ankle in Sunday's win over the Lakers.

Cleveland has lost two straight in Portland, where the Blazers are 18-4 this season. The clubs split two games last season, with each club winning on its home floor.

Portland is 0-3 ATS in its last three games while the Cavaliers are 2-1 ATS over the same span.
