NBA Wagering Trends - Spurs (+ 7) vs. Suns (- 7)

Just like that San Antonio’s season went up in flames. Tony Parkers, their all-star point-guard, is out indefinitely with an injured heel. That’s not good. The Spurs have also been terrible against the spread in their last 10, going 3 and 7. That’s not good either. The Suns have gone 7 and 3 against the spread in their last 10. I wrote the Suns off earlier this season, but when an injury happens to your chief rival like the one that happened to Parker, it’s time to rethink things.

Here are some trends specific to this game:

The Phoenix Suns are 7 and 1 against the spread in their last 8 games as a favorite.

The Phoenix Suns are 6 and 0 against the spread in their last 6 games playing on only 1 day of rest.

The San Antonio Spurs are 8-3-1 against the spread in their last 12 games against the Suns in Phoenix.

The Phoenix Suns are 7 and 1 against the spread in their last 8 games overall.

Believe it or not, the Phoenix Suns have no injuries to report going into this game. That’s amazing considering that the Suns have old man Steve Nash and one-kneed Amare Soutdemire on their team. They also have injury prone Grant Hill on their squad. Amazing considering that the Suns maybe this is their year?

I haven’t decided what I feel about that, but I do know that the Suns are without a doubt the best bet tonight. Yes, giving up 7 points to a veteran squad like the San Antonio Spurs is difficult to do, but the Spurs just have no focus right now. They’ve been dropping games straight-up versus teams that they usually beat by at least 12 points or more.

Ginobili will go off in this game, but unfortunately the Spurs are playing a team that doesn’t mind scoring with you. Ginobili puts up 30 or 40 and Amare and Nash will team up for 50 or 60. Duncan racks up 20 to 30 tonight and Hill and Marion put up 40 or 50.

That’s what the Suns do. They’ve started to do it with regularity after racking up an okay not great against the spread record earlier this season. Now, they’re the Suns team that all BetUS NBA bettors know and love!

The BetUS NBA Betting line is Phoenix Suns – 7 against the spread at home versus the San Antonio Spurs.

I like the Suns to cover that spread in tonight’s game. Without Parker, the Spurs are a different team. They just won’t be able to match-up with Phoenix tonight.
