NBA Basketball Betting – Detroit at Orlando

BetUS NBA basketball betting odds: DETROIT -3.5, Total 192

Two teams leading their respective divisions clash in Orlando on Monday night as the Detroit Pistons (29-12 SU, 25-15-1 ATS) visit the Orlando Magic (25-17 SU, 27-15 ATS) in a game that tips off at 8 PM ET from the Amway Arena.

In the BetUS NBA basketball betting odds, the Pistons are listed at -3.5, with the total posted at 192 points.

In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA betting trends:

* DET has won the last nine meetings SU

* DET is 5-2-2 ATS in the last nine meetings

* Five of the last six meetings have gone OVER the total

* DET has covered 10 of the last 12 meetings as the visitor

* DET has won the last five meetings SU as the visitor

* Five of the last seven meetings at Orlando have gone UNDER the total

* DET has made more three-pointers in nine of the last ten meetings

Detroit, the first place team in the NBA's Central Division, has allowed just 90.1 points per game. That's the second lowest total in the NBA. Its field goal percentage defense (43.9%) is third best in the league. The Pistons are turning the ball over only 10.9 times per game. Also:

* DET has covered 13 of its last 19 games

* DET has covered one of its last five games

* DET is 10-4-1 ATS in its last 15 road games

* DET has covered one of its last five games

* DET has won 11 of its last 15 road games SU

* DET has played four of its last five road games UNDER the total

The Magic, sitting in first place in the Southeast Division, is one of the NBA's best teams in shooting from beyond the arc, making 8.9 three-pointers per contest. Orlando is seventh in scoring in the league, averaging 103.5 points per game. Also:

* ORL has covered four of its last six games

* ORL has won and covered four of its last six home games

* ORL has played four of its last five home games UNDER the total

Detroit has not been exhibiting its best form lately, covering just one of its last five games. But the Pistons have been absolutely dominant over this opponent, winning all four regular season meetings, then sweeping the Magic in the playoffs. In this season's only meeting, Detroit hit 59% from the field in a 116-92 blowout right here at the Amway Arena.

The Pistons do have an edge over Orlando's smallish backcourt, and can get more physical, particularly with their second unit now producing better than it has in the last couple of years. But they don't really have a good answer for Dwight Howard, and the Magic has played a lot better at home lately, covering four of six, including an easy win over the Bulls last Tuesday and a 101-94 win, behind 50% shooting, over the Blazers on Saturday.

The Pistons have just played terribly in three of the last four, losing to three teams that will likely not make the playoffs. We're going to grab the points with the Magic, the three-point underdog in the BetUS NBA basketball betting odds.
