NBA Basketball Betting – Bulls at Pacers

BetUS NBA betting odds: INDIANA -2.5, Total 196.5

The Chicago Bulls (7-12 SU & ATS) are trying to turn the corner, and to get there they are going to have to beat teams like the Indiana Pacers (10-11 SU, 11-10 ATS), the club they face off against Wednesday night at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Tipoff time is 7 PM EST.

In the BetUS basketball betting odds, the Pacers are listed at -2.5, with the total posted at 196.5 points.

In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA betting trends:

* CHI has won and covered four of the last five meetings

* Four of the last six meetings have gone UNDER the total

* CHI has covered the last five meetings at Indiana

* CHI has won two of its last 21 visits to Indiana

* Four of the last five meetings in Indiana have gone UNDER the total

The Bulls shot 54% against Seattle last night, which they hope will be a sign of things to come. In winning three of their last four games, they have managed to shoot a little better than what they have been showing. When you look at the figures - Ben Gordon (37%), Kirk Hinrich (35%), Ben Wallace (35%), Tyrus Thomas (41%), Chris Duhon (39%), it's not a mystery as to why the Bulls have had a rough season thus far. Scott Skiles' team has covered its last two road games, but only one of the previous eight. Also:

* CHI has won and covered five of its last seven games

* CHI has won three of its last ten road games SU

* CHI has played five of its last seven road games UNDER the total

* CHI is shooting 40.6% from the field this season

* CHI averages 91.1 points per game, 29th in the league

Indiana has been up and down. They lost a 118-105 decision in Cleveland last night but were way down early, and never really in it. The Pacers have averaged 109.5 ppg over their last four ballgames. Jermaine O'Neal has had a lesser role in terms of offense this year (14.9 ppg), while Danny Granger (18 ppg) and Mike Dunleavy (16.5 ppg) have handled more of the scoring load. Also:

* IND has covered five of its last seven games

* IND has played nine OVERS in its last 13 games

* IND has covered four of its last 14 home games

* IND has played OVER the total in its last five home games

Clearly Indiana wants to play up-tempo, and they're also taking more chances from downtown, hitting 20 three-point shots in the last two games. The Bulls are too good a team not to get hot (or at least hotter) at some point. Maybe that's now. But they certainly have enough balance and punch to trade points if they have to. We'll go "over" the 196.5-point total as it is posted in the BetUS NBA basketball betting odds.
