Bet On UFC - UFC Fight Night Preview

The UFC betting world will be rocked by UFC Fight Night on Wednesday, April 2, beginning live at 7:00pm EST only on Spike TV. It will be a three hour UFC wagering frenzy from the Broomfield Event Center in Colorado.

The main event pits Kenny "KenFlo" Florian against Joe "J-Lau" Lauzon, which promises to be a dynamic 155-pound matchup.

Florian brings to the cage a respectable 9-3 MMA record. He has great jiu-jitsu talent and dangerous elbows. Florian has won his last three bouts with the most recent win coming against Din Thomas by way of submission.

Florian will attempt to run his current UFC winning streak to four and improve his record inside the Octagon to an impressive 7-2 as the favorite at -220.

The former lightweight title challenger has been fighting at the highest level for the last two years, amassing nearly three times as many UFC fights as Lauzon.

During that stretch, he has went to war with some of the UFC’s biggest names and most experienced veterans, such as former champion Sean Sherk, Diego Sanchez, Dokonjonosuke Mishima and the before mentioned Thomas.

Florian is a very efficient striker with solid punches, knees and elbows. His style of throwing elbows is particularly dangerous that often leads to fight-ending cuts in a matter of seconds.

Lauzon has yet to lose inside the Octagon and owns a stout MMA record of 15-3. He also seeks to run his current UFC winning streak to four. Lauzon's latest victory came against Jason Reinhardt by way of submission.

Lauzon possesses very good submission skills and is extremely quick. He's not a concussive striker but has the power to knockout any opponent. Eighteen months ago, Lauzon posted a forty-eight second knockout win over former lightweight champion Jens Pulver.

On paper, Lauzon should be handed his first UFC defeat against Florian. But, he was predicted by oddsmakers to get his first UFC loss when he faced Pulver. He could certainly bark again as the puppy in this one. BetUS UFC odds list Lauzon the underdog at +180.

Also on Wednesday's card, Karo "The Heat" Parisyan will take on Thiago "Pit bull" Alves in a 170-pound event.

Parisyan is a strong 25-4 with excellent grappling and great throws. He's riding a three-fight winning streak and oddsmakers are giving him respect in this contest at -180.

Alves relies on jiu-jitsu and striking and has a sharp 18-4 MMA record. He has won his last four fights, looking for his fifth consecutive win as the underdog of +150.

As well, Matt ''The Hammer'' Hamill will face off with Tim "The Barbarian" Boetsch.

Hamill is a young and hungry fighter with a 5-1 UFC record. He has good boxing and wrestling skills. Boetsch is 7-1 inside the cage who also has a solid wrestling game and a strong chin that will be tested.

This will be a stellar 205-pound event that could end with one man staring up at the lights.

There is two other fights on tap that you don't want to miss. If you wager on UFC action, this is a must see event. Are you ready? Let's get it on!
