Belmont Stakes Race Betting Odds

The Belmont Stakes on June 9 will be highlighted by Curlin and Hard Spun and winning can be a breeze. There will be no Triple Crown on the line in the third jewel, but the action will be dynamic.

Kentucky Derby champion and Preakness Stakes runner-up Street Sense will miss the Belmont Stakes. The dark bay colt will instead run in the Travers Stakes and Breeders' Cup Classic later this year.

Curlin won the Preakness and finished third in the Derby. Hard Spun finished third in the Preakness and second in the Derby. The consistency of the two has exacta players smiling. They've already proven they have what it takes to finish in the money and another repeat performance could have you jogging to the ticket window to cash.

Using them in your exactas is a wise investment and including them in your trifectas is a solid selection. If you’re looking for a third horse to round out your play, try Tiago. Tiago ran seventh in the Derby and skipped the Preakness and that strategy has paid off recently. Three of the past four Belmont winners ran in the Derby but missed the Preakness.

In the Derby, the bay colt looked to the side just as the starting gate opened and got off to a slow start. The son of Pleasant Tap never moved into position to challenge but was making up ground in the stretch.

Tiago's breakthrough win came in the Santa Anita Derby at 29-1 odds, and the Kentucky Derby was just his fifth career start under jockey Mike Smith who'll be aboard again on Saturday.

The Sport of Kings offers bettors large paydays. Exacta wagering yields a hefty profit by selecting the first two finishers. By selecting the top-three trifectas can make your bankroll skyrocket; to greaten your odds, box your plays.

This year's Belmont features a relatively small field and that plays in favor of bettors. If you've never taken advantage of action on the track, now is your time to experience the thrill of victory.

Curlin, Hard Spun and Tiago will be among the favorites, and rightfully so. When they cross the wire, you may find yourself in the winner's circle, because the trio could make winning as easy as 1-2-3.

Keep checking the Locker Room all through the Triple Crown season, as we will cover the trainers, horses and jockeys in each race. You can get your early Belmont Stakes at Belmont Park bets in now in the BetUS sportsbook in the Future / props section, under Horse Futures: 2007 Belmont Stakes.
