NBA Betting Trends – Washington (11-10) at Miami (6-15)
By Eric Williams
The Miami Heat, (12-9 ATS, 11-9-1 O/U) appear to be getting back on track after suffering through a dismal start to the regular without their best player, Dywane Wade and a rapidly aging Shaquille O’Neal.
The Heat have won two consecutive games for the first time this season, including Monday’s 117-113 road win over the Phoenix Suns. Wade also scored 10 of his 31 points in the final four minutes Monday and leads the Heat in scoring and assists (22.7 points 6.4 assists per game).
The Washington Wizards, (13-8 ATS, 12-9 O/U) have also won two consecutive games coming into this matchup, including a solid 102-88 win over the young Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Washington has also won four of its last five and had six players reach double-digits in scoring against Minnesota.
All-star forwards, Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison have kept the Wizards afloat despite the loss of the team’s leading scorer, Gilbert Arenas. The athletic forwards are averaging with 22.8 and 21.4 points, respectively.

Analysis: If nothing else, the Wizards know how to put the ball in the hole, which is the reason I’m taking them to covert the six-point spread against the Heat tonight. I know Washington plays absolutely no defense whatsoever, but Washington’s offense is much better than Miami’s and should be able to help them cover the spread.
