NBA Basketball Betting – Phoenix at Milwaukee

In very cold Milwaukee, the Bucks (16-25 SU, 18-22-1 ATS) will thankfully play indoors - unlike the Green Bay Packers a few days ago - when they take on the explosive Phoenix Suns (29-12 SU, 18-22-1 ATS) at the Bradley Center. Game time is 8 PM ET.

In the BetUS NBA basketball betting odds, the Suns are listed at -8.5, with the total posted at 214 points.

In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA basketball betting trends:

* MIL is 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings

* PHX has won seven of the last eight meetings SU

* Seven of the last eight meetings have gone OVER the total

* PHX has won five of the last seven meetings SU as the road team

* PHX has had the shooting edge in eight of the last ten meetings

* MIL has had the rebounding edge in five of the last seven meetings

* PHX has made more three-point shots in eight of the last ten meetings

No one in the NBA scores more than the Suns, who average 110 points a game. The Suns have been neck-and-neck all season with Utah to be the NBA's best shooting team. Currently they are second, at 49%. And Phoenix converts nine 3-point shots per contest, second best in the NBA. Also:

* PHX has won four of its last five games SU

* PHX has played four of its last six games UNDER the total

* PHX has played five of its last seven road games UNDER the total

Milwaukee's problems have included defense. The Bucks have surrendered 47.1% from the field, which is second worst in the league. The Bucks have averaged 40.4 rebounds per game, including 11.8 on the offensive end. At home they allow 38.4 rebounds a game, which is fourth best in the league. Also:

* MIL has covered six of its last nine games

* MIL has lost five of its last six games SU

* MIL has played five of its last seven games OVER the total

* MIL has covered two of its last eight home games

* MIL has won 12 of its last 18 home games SU

* MIL has played six of its last nine home games UNDER the total

Milwaukee has covered in four straight meetings with Phoenix, though they don't seem to pull out straight-up wins that often. Phoenix had a difficult time dealing with Andrew Bogut in the last meeting, as the former #1 overall pick chalked up 29 points in his team's 122-114 defeat.

Interestingly enough, Phoenix, which has yielded 104.2 points per game, has been holding opponents down, giving up an average of just 95.5 over its last four since facing Milwaukee last. Three of those games were wins/covers. But three of those games also went under the total. With Milwaukee having gone under the 100-point mark in eight of its last ten games, they are not in the best of offensive form. And they will NOT duplicate the 56% shooting effort they had against Phoenix ten days ago. With the Bucks' home scoring figure at 96 ppg, we're relatively comfortable with a totals play here.

We're going to go UNDER the 214 points, as it is posted in the BetUS NBA basketball betting odds.
