NBA Betting Odds – Hornets (10-6) at Hawks (6-8)

After winning nine of their first 11 games, the New Orleans Hornets, (8-7-1 ATS, 6-10 O/U) have cooled off considerably, losing four of their last five and come into this contest off a dismal 103-94 loss to the young Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
The Atlanta Hawks, (7-7 ATS, 4-10 O/U) are looking to take another step toward reaching .500 in this contest after beating the Milwaukee Bucks 96-80 on Wednesday.

Analysis: I’ll make this pick short and sweet NBA bettors - the New Orleans Hornets were one of the top ATS teams in the league last season and while I expect them to again be one of the better ATS teams in the league again this season, I like the improving Atlanta Hawks to win this game and cover the spread tonight.
The reality of the situation is that, despite their respective records, the Hawks really aren’t as far behind the Hornets as most people would think and have closed the gap a bunch by adding Al Horford and my favorite collegiate point guard from a year ago, Acie Law IV.
