Bet on NBA - Boston Celtics (predict: - 5.5) vs. Washington Wizards (+ 5.5)

Pay attention to the Friday night game between the Celtics and the Nets to get a bead on this one. In all honesty if the Celtics play terribly Friday night then I like them even more in this game.
Here are the most significant trends regarding this game:
The Washington Wizards are 6 and 0 against the spread in their last 6 versus a team from the NBA Atlantic.
The Washington Wizards are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 versus a team from the Eastern Conference.
The Boston Celtics are 5 and 0 against the spread in their last 5 meetings in Washington.
What these trends tell me is that not all Eastern Conference teams are created equally. The Boston Celtics are, without a doubt, the best team in the Eastern Conference. They dropped a “cheapie” versus the Charlotte Bobcats the other night but I don’t expect that sort of thing to become habit with these guys.
They simply play well versus the Washington Wizards. The predicted line I’ve created may actually be somewhat low in this spot as the Celtics do have a game tonight versus the New Jersey Nets where I expect them to roll.
The Wizards are doing pretty good considering that Gilbert Arenas, their best player, was on the bench early in the season. Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison picked up the slack. This team will make the playoffs, but contending on a Saturday night versus the Celtics is a different story.
Boston will have few slip-ups this season. They all ready committed one earlier in the week versus the Bobcats. I feel a blow-out in this game.
