NBA Betting Action - Timberwolves (+ 9.5) vs. Heat (- 9.5)

How bad are the Miami Heat? Could this be true? Could it be that not only am I going to write that the Timberwolves will beat this spread but that, yes Becky, they will beat the Miami Heat outright?

Okay, yes, it’s true. That is what I’m going to write, but before I do, let me just say that I don’t hate the Heat. I was a white-chocolate guy just like everybody else when Jason Williams’ came out of college and played for the Sacramento Kings. I thought Dwayne Wade was going to be the next coming of Michael Jordan and was the first to scream it when he single-handedly took out the Dallas Mavericks two years ago in the NBA Finals. Heck, I’m an L.A. guys and thought the Lakers should have kept Shaq instead of Kobe!

So, I don’t hate the Heat, but they suck, man. Check-out these trends:

The Miami Heat are 5 and 16 against the spread in their last 21 home games.

The Miami Heat are 3 and 7 against the spread so far this year at home.

That’s enough for me to look at the point spread and laugh. This is a bad team, Miami, so why are they continually getting the benefit of the doubt? Forget about these guys!

In the past two games Miami has lost to the Indiana Pacers and the Washington Wizards. In both of those losses, Miami scored less than 104 points. In the Washington game the Heat scored a fantastic 91 points. They lost by 13 to the Gilbert Arenas less Washington Wizards. Are you kidding me, Becky?

The T’Wolves are indeed coming off 4 straight losses. One of those losses was against the Seattle Supersonics. So, the T’Wolves aren’t exactly tearing things up either, but this is the perfect bounce-back game for the T’Wolves who, in my opinion, can put together solid games once a while.

The Miami Heat are just a bad team.

The BetUS betting line is Minnesota Timberwolves + 9.5 against the spread on the road versus the Miami Heat.

I’m feeling the T’Wolves in this one. I promised I would write it. So, here it is:

Not only will the T’Wolves beat this spread, but they will win this game outright.
