NBA Betting Trends – Expect Chicago To Get ‘Bullied’ By Spurs Tonight

After getting off to an absolutely atrocious start to the regular season amid swirling Kobe Bryant trade rumors, things have gone from bad to worse for the Chicago Bulls recently.

How bad are things in Chi-town?

So bad, that, although they don’t have a permanent replacement – or even a concrete interim replacement – for Skiles, general manager John Paxson decided to pull the trigger and fire Skiles anyway after tiring of seeing the Bulls’ underachieving act this season.

Now, the Bulls, (9-16 SU, 8-17 ATS, 12-13 O/U) are forced to face the prospects of playing for assistant coaches, Pete Myers or Jim Boylan, who will apparently split the team’s coaching duties for the meanwhile.

If this news wasn’t bad enough, the Bulls are now forced to face the defending champion San Antonio Spurs, (19-7 SU, 14-11-1 ATS, 12-14 O/U) on the road where San Antonio is 14-1 this season.

The Bulls have lost three of their last four games, including Saturday night’s pathetic 116-98 loss to the Houston Rockets, in which they were thoroughly booed throughout the game.

The veteran Spurs will benefit from their three-day holiday respite with slightly renewed energy, particularly for all-stars Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, both nursing nagging injuries. Parker had missed four straight games with a sprained ankle, though he returned Saturday and put up 18 points in the Spurs’ 99-90 win over the Los Angeles Clippers while Ginobili has battled a series of nagging injuries recently.

Here is a look at tonight’s Key Trends, followed by my analysis and NBA Betting Free Picks.

The Bulls are 3-7 ATS in their last ten after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

The Over is 4-1 in Bulls last five vs. Western Conference.

The Under is 5-1 in Spurs last six overall.

Key Head-to-Head Trends

The Bulls are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in San Antonio.

The Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings.

The Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in San Antonio.

Analysis: Not only are the Bulls facing one of the best defensive teams in the entire league, but combined with the fact that they are totally directionless and severely lacking in confidence, makes this game an easy pick for NBA bettors looking to increase their respective bankrolls.

By the way, did I mention that the Bulls are shooting a league-worst 41.3 percent and are ranked next-to-last in scoring, averaging a measly 92.0 points per game? Take the Spurs, who are also one of the league’s top ATS teams this season, (No. 8) and don’t look back.
