NBA Basketball Betting – Charlotte at Sacramento

WHO: Charlotte Bobcats (18-27 SU, 19-25-1 ATS) at Sacramento Kings (19-24 SU, 23-19 ATS)

WHERE: ARCO Arena in Sacramento

WHEN: Wednesday, January 30 at 10 PM ET

BetUS NBA basketball betting odds: SACRAMENTO -7, Total 205.5

In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA basketball betting trends:

* The last four meetings have gone OVER the total

* CHAR has won the last three meetings SU

* The home team has covered all six meetings

* SAC has had the shooting edge in each of the last four meetings

* SAC has made more three-pointers in four of the six meetings

Charlotte is averaging 95.4 points per game and shoots slightly over 45% from the field. The Bobcats post 7.6 steals per game on the stat sheet, but are 29th in the league from the line at 70.7%. Also:

* CHAR has covered nine of its last 13 games

* CHAR has covered four of its last five road games

* CHAR has lost 13 of its last 16 road games SU

* CHAR has played four of its last six road games OVER the total

Sacramento shoots 46% from the floor and allows 46.1% shooting, which is about a wash. The Kings make eight steals a game and commit almost twice as many turnovers (15.9). In contrast to Charlotte's figures, they are also third in free throw shooting at 79.6%. Also:

* SAC has won four of its last six games SU

* SAC is 0-3 ATS in its last three games

* SAC has played seven of its last 11 games OVER the total

* SAC has played its last six home games OVER the total

This is not the kind of thing you want to hear your coach say in the press:

"I stand over there and scream and yell the whole time, motivate guys to play. I need to see that from the guys on the floor. The coaching staff cares an awful lot about winning, but the guys on the floor have to care about winning more than the coaching staff. We need that fire, we need that passion from the players. We need them to really want to win."

That's Sam Vincent, coach of the Bobcats, and he may have to be replaced for this team to move forward. The 'Cats have been playing relatively well, going 7-6 SU since January 8. And they held together long enough to shoot 57% in Monday's win over the Clippers. We don't know when things will get to a boiling point, as the players are not happy, but we do know that the Kings are heading in a slightly different direction in terms of chemistry. They have to be, because they didn't have enough healthy players to have any before.

Now the roster is virtually intact, and Sacramento has been winning some games. But they have not proven themselves at ARCO lately (3-7 ATS last 10), and have not been this big a home favorite yet.

Charlotte has enough offense to hang in there. And they've been covering away from home with some efficiency of late (4-1 ATS last five on road). We'll grab the seven points with the Bobcats, the underdog in the BetUS NBA betting odds.
