Indiana Pacers at New York Knicks

Could somebody please tell me what in the name of Reggie Miller is going on in with the Indiana Pacers, (19-29 SU, 23-25 ATS, 26-20-2 O/U) this season?

While the Pacers haven’t looked totally inept on most nights, it is clear that the Pacers have generally looked uninterested while going through the motions for veteran head coach Jim O’Brien who is in his first, (and maybe last) season with the franchise.

The Pacers have dropped seven straight games coming into tonight’s matchup, including a horrific 116-89 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday night.

The New York Knicks, (14-34 SU, 23-25 ATS, 26-22 O/U) have looked even worse all season along and have dropped six straight contests coming into this matchup including a 103-94 loss to the equally atrocious Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

To make matters worse, for the Pacers, they are just 4-6 against the spread in their last ten while the Knicks have somehow managed to go a respectable 6-4 against the spread over the same span.

The Knicks are 6-2 ATS in their last eight vs. NBA Central.

The Over is 4-0 in the last four meetings.

The Pacers are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in New York.

Analysis: I guess some team has to win this contest, though I’m not sure either club really wants it that badly. I say take the lesser of two evils here, (the Pacers) and call it a night. Take the more mature Pacers to cover the spread on the road here.

Seattle Supersonics at Sacramento Kings

The Seattle SuperSonics, (12-36 SU, 22-25-1 ATS, 20-28 O/U), may be young – and in the midst of some serious growing pains at the moment – but the young Sonics have competed hard in head coach P.J. Carlesimo’s first season at the helm of the franchise.

Seattle has just three wins in their last ten games and lost their last contest to the pitiful Chicago Bulls 118-108 at home on Monday. The good news for the BetUS.com NBA betting community is that the Sonics have gone a solid 5-4-1 against the spread in its last ten games.

The Sacramento Kings, (22-24 SU, 25-21 ATS, 24-18-4 O/U), have been boosted by the return of three of its most important player, starting guards Mike Bibby and Kevin Martin as well as enigmatic forward Ron Artest.

Sacramento has won seven of their last ten games including four straight coming into tonight’s affair with the Sonics. The Kings are also a respectable 5-5 against the spread in its last ten games.

The Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last five when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.

 

The Under is 10-2 in SuperSonics last 12 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.

The Over is 4-0 in Kings last four games playing on three or more days rest.

The Over is 11-2 in the last 13 meetings in Sacramento.

The SuperSonics are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Sacramento.

Analysis: There’s not much guesswork that need to be done here. The Kings are the better team by far and will be playing at home. The fact that they’re red-hot only makes things worse for the Sonics. Take Sacramento to win this game and cover the spread going away.
