NBA Gambling Spreads - Memphis Grizzlies at Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns, (41-22 SU, 28-33-2 ATS, 36-27 O/U), picked up a nice 94-87 home victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, breathing a collective sigh of relief after going an uninspiring 3-6 in Shaquille O’Neal’s first nine games with the team.

Now the Suns look for consecutive wins for the first time in the O’Neal era and will have an excellent opportunity as they are facing the lowly Memphis Grizzlies, (15-47 SU, 25-36-1 ATS, 29-33 O/U), losers of nine of their last ten games including an embarrassing 119-89 blowout at the hands of the Boston Celtics on Saturday.

"There's a lot of teams with size in the West," said Steve Nash, who scored 19 points and handed out 14 assists against the Spurs. "We added size, let alone a guy with championship experience. One win isn't going to say we're a finished product, but we're on our way, I think, to improving and getting to a place where we're going to feel confident once the playoffs come around."

The 36-year-old O’Neal is averaging 11.4 points and 11.3 rebounds in 10 games for Phoenix, but often has looked like a square peg trying to fit into a round hole.

Memphis has lost 14 consecutive road games and has dropped 16 of their last 18 games overall and have allowed their opponents to average 106.4. points per game over the span and at least 108 points in seven of their last ten games and at least 112 in five of their last six.

Here is a look at tonight’s Key Trends, followed by my NBA Wagering Free Picks:

The Grizzlies are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games playing on two days rest.

The Grizzlies are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

The Suns are 4-0 ATS in their last four Tuesday games.

The Suns are 25-53-3 ATS in their last 81 home games vs. a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400.

The Over is 4-0 in Grizzlies last four games following a double-digit loss at home.

The Over is 7-0 in Suns last seven games following a S.U. win.

The Grizzlies are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Phoenix.

The Road team is 8-3 ATS in the last eleven meetings.

Analysis: The Suns would love nothing better than to run the Grizzlies off the court while continuing to justify their trade for O’Neal. Take the Suns to roll to a big victory tonight with O’Neal getting close to 20 points against the defenseless Grizzlies.
