NBA Free Picks – Cleveland Cavaliers at Seattle Sonics

The Cleveland Cavaliers, (24-19 SU, 20-23 ATS, 22-20-1 O/U) have been riding the heroics of LeBron James to one victory after another recently, going 8-2 in their last 10 games, including a solid 84-83 road victory over the Portland Trailblazers last night in which James took over by scoring an impressive 17 points in the fourth quarter.
The Seattle Super Sonics, (10-35 SU, 21-23-1 ATS, 18-27 O/U) are young and going through the inevitable growing pains all young players and young teams go through at some point in their development as pro players.
Though the Sonics are just 1-14 in their last 15 games, their last game was a sight to see as they surprised the San Antonio Spurs 88-85 on Kevin Durant’s game-winning jumper to record their fist victory of 2008.
Not only have the Cavaliers managed to go a solid 8-2 straight up in their last 10 games, but Cleveland has also managed to improves its mediocre ATS record by going 7-3 against the spread during their last 10 contests.
While the Sonics have struggled to reach the double-digit mark in straight up victories, Seattle has been fairly solid against the spread this season, going 5-4-1 against the spread in their last ten games.

Analysis: To be honest about it, I’m surprised this line is so low with the way the Cavaliers and LeBron James are playing lately. Seeing as how the Cavaliers didn’t have far to travel after beating the Portland Trailblazers last night, I like them to come back with another victory and cover against the spread against the Sonics tonight.
